Solenoid Valves for Precise and Rapid Process Automation
Control gases, neutral liquids or compressed air with absolute reliability. END-Armaturen’s solenoid valves enable extremely short switching times for your plant automation. These valves are available in direct-acting, pilot-operated or force-pilot-operated versions. Thanks to their design, no external control air is required. This makes them the most efficient solution for clean media. You can thus effortlessly handle a wide range of pressure conditions and even unpressurised systems.

Reliable Control Technology for Demanding Environments
Our solenoid valves ensure the direct shut-off of small nominal diameters. They also control high flow rates using differential pressure with the utmost precision. Take advantage of our wide range of materials, seals and voltages. We would be happy to advise you on selecting the solenoid valves best suited to your process requirements. For sensitive applications, we offer certified coil technology. We can equip your design with ATEX-certified solenoid valves. These guarantee maximum operational safety in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The 3 Control Modes – Which Operating Principle Provides the Best Control for Your System?
Selecting the correct control mode ensures the reliable operation of the solenoid valve. When planning your system, it is essential to consider the specific pressure conditions of your application.
Direct-Acting Solenoid Valves
In this design, the plunger is directly connected to the sealing element. It opens the valve seat solely through magnetic force.
Applications: This technology is ideally suited to systems operating from 0 bar. They reliably switch smaller nominal diameters at low to medium pressures.
Pilot-Operated Solenoid Valves
This design – also known as servo-assisted solenoid valves – utilises the fluid pressure to open and close the valve. The plunger simply opens a small pilot orifice. This specifically changes the pressure conditions in the main valve.
Applications: A minimum differential pressure of 0.3 or 0.5 bar is essential here. This enables you to control large nominal diameters and high pressures with ease. All you need are very small, energy-efficient solenoid coils.
Force-Pilot-Operated Solenoid Valves
This variant – also known as assisted-lift solenoid valves – combines direct-acting and pilot-operated principles. The plunger rapidly opens the pilot orifice. When the differential pressure is very low, it mechanically lifts the main seal.
Applications: This is the most versatile solution for your design. They switch reliably from 0 bar up to the maximum operating pressure. These valves cope effortlessly with fluctuating differential pressures.
Do you handle highly viscous media or steam?
If you are working with highly viscous fluids or steam, we recommend taking a look at our pressure-actuated valves.
